Water Decal for Padel Rackets | Professional Introduction

Water decal, also known as water transfer printing or watermark, is a mainstream surface decoration process widely adopted in the padel racket manufacturing industry. The working principle is to print pre-designed patterns, brand logos, texts and graphics on special water-soluble film. During production, the film is soaked in water to separate the printed layer from the base film, then transferred and closely attached to the racket surface. Apart from upgrading the overall grade and visual sense of the product, its uneven raised surface creates a rough finish, which is functionally similar to pellet paint. It increases friction between the racket and the ball effectively, helping players generate more spin during hitting.

 

It only applies 3D embossing on partial areas such as brand logos, slogans and decorative fonts. It focuses on highlighting key visual elements, enhancing the aesthetic sense and premium texture of the racket without changing the overall flat structure of the racket face. It is a common decorative choice for mid-to-high end rackets.

 

 

Laser water decal is a special effect water transfer film added with laser holographic materials. Its core principle lies in the micro-prism structure inside the coating: when light hits the surface, light will produce refraction, reflection and dispersion through the microstructure. Viewed from different angles, the surface will show dynamic color changes and iridescent luster. This process creates a stylish, eye-catching and cool visual effect, greatly enriching the design expression of rackets and catering to the aesthetic demand for trendy products.

 

 

Gold and silver foil stamping water decal integrates metal foil hot stamping technology on the basis of traditional water decal. It attaches metallic gold or silver thin film to the preset position of the racket, presenting exquisite metallic luster. It is widely used to highlight high-end logos and limited-edition patterns.

 

Note on Process Limitations: Laser water decal and gold/silver foil stamping water decal adopt special functional materials. They are only suitable for small-area decoration and flat surfaces. If applied to curved sides or large areas, the film will fail to fit closely, easily causing blistering, warping, edge lifting after pasting. Meanwhile, the service life will be shortened, and the decorative layer is prone to peeling and fading in long-term use.
